Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts and Salem Elementary School have been Partners in Education since 2004, working together to make a difference in the education of the students

During the Holiday and Craft Show, Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts in both Virginia Beach and Chesapeake will be offering a 3 Day Confidence Course, plus a uniform for $39.00. This will be a great gift for under the tree.

When asked why it is so important for students to participate in after school activities; such as, martial arts, Senior Master Thomas of Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts stated, “It's about Changing Lives in our community by educating children in safe defense and building their confidence levels. Through martial arts, we are able to build a child’s self discipline, self esteem and self control. What parent doesn’t want to see their child excel in these areas? What every child learns today, allows them to lead tomorrow.”

As of 2009 childhood obesity is at its all time high, schools like Salem Elementary and Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts in Virginia Beach are offering activities to help lower these statistics. As Jillian Michaels, trainer from the Biggest Loser said, “Fitness to me isn’t about a crunch or a push up; it’s about taking your power back”. Adults lead by example and ATA Martial Arts in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake is a front runner in instilling the power in children to make a difference in their lives.

Senior Master Thomas provides training in many martial arts disciplines including: mixed martial arts, krav maga, tae kwon do, and traditional karate.
