Teaches Kidz N Power at Apple Tree Learning Center, Nov 10, 2009

CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA  - Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts has announced plans for joining  Apple Tree Learning Center for an upcoming . Kidz N Power event. Senior Master Thomas and his team of Instructors will be utilizing the Safety Awareness Tips from Srgt Safety and the Kidz' n power program.

This event is scheduled for November 10th, 2009 from 3:00-4:00PM. This safety event is part of ATA Martial Arts Worldwide (www.ATAONLINE.com) initiative to help minimize the risk of child abduction through education. With active membership exceeding 350,000 worldwide and 1,200 schools in the U.S. and abroad, ATA is positively positioned to reach children and adults with the message of abduction prevention. As part of the safety campaign, ATA has partnered with AMBER Alert.com to increase AMBER Alert.com notification via e-mail and personal communication devices. Once an AMBER Alert.com is issued, AMBER Alert.com uses state-of-the-art technology to notify its subscribers of a missing child in a specific area.

According to local ATA Senior Master Instructor Tracy Lee Thomas, education is the key to child safety. “Children of all age, gender and race are vulnerable to child abduction". Through age appropriate instruction, awareness of warning signs and ID activities such as fingerprinting, collectively ATA schools around the world hope to have a significant impact on reducing the risk of child abduction and victimization, we don't want our kids to be a target”, says Senior Master Thomas. Kidz N Power is another tool utilized by ATA Martial Arts to teach safety awareness, safe defense tips for parents, and self defense measures that all children will learn to increase their ability to defend themselves.
