The American Taekwondo Association began in 1969 and has introduced over One Million people to the “Worldwide Taekwondo” Songahm(style of Tae Kwon Do) family, growing ever closer to our goal of touching one million lives through the practice and principles of Taekwondo. Martial Art Instructors around the world are spreading the vision of our founder, Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee.

"Changing One Million Lives" has been an incredible success and through the ATA and has introduced men, women and children to the life changing principles of Songham Taekwondo and Martial Arts Training.

“Local Virginia Beach Martial Arts Master”, Senior Master Tracy Lee Thomas owns and operates four schools that have been previously ranked a “Top Ten” ATA Taekwondo Schools in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Through structured classes and outstanding curriculum the Professional Taekwondo Martial Arts Team of Instructors at Changing Lives ATA offer the community a life altering experience while training in a safe environment.

Senior Master Thomas gives back to the local Virginia Beach Public School Systems by donating his staff and man hours weekly as volunteers. As a Taekwondo Master he gives back to the community by purchasing public class planners for the public schools. “It’s about changing the lives of our young children in the community”, states; Senior Master Thomas.

Changing Lives ATA Taekwondo founder, Senior Master Thomas opened the first Changing Lives Academy of Taekwondo in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1991 after four years in the military. As a 7th Degree Black Belt and Senior Master in the ATA, Senior Master Thomas operates four locations in Hampton Roads. Working hard to Change Lives and bring the ATA awareness with members within the community he has become a City Wide "Partners In Education" with the public school system. He is an active Martial Arts Taekwondo Practitioner and Instructor. Senior Master Thomas teaches various types of Taekwondo(martial arts) seminars and Business Coaching for self improvement with business owners.

When asked what he enjoys most about working with Martial Artists and various types of business. His answer was quick; “Changing Lives to make the world a better place and that starts here in our own community”.
